Jack joined Studio Hillier in 2009, bringing with him a strong foundation in both the arts and architecture. He has a deep interest in culture and the environment — and how these forces shape architectural opportunity. Jack approaches each project with a focus on user experience, while thoughtfully balancing practical constraints such as gravity, dew point, budget, and time.

Equally skilled in construction detailing and interior planning, Jack offers a comprehensive and integrated design approach. Much of his work at Studio Hillier has focused on clinical medicine and research-based science buildings. Notably, he played a significant role in the 630,000-square-foot, $447 million University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro.

In addition to institutional projects, Jack contributed to the transformation of Studio Hillier’s own office. The architect-owner seized the opportunity to restore vitality to both the building and its street frontage by renovating a warehouse into a light-filled, storefront architectural studio complete with overhead light monitors. This project, titled Urban Trifecta, received an AIA New Jersey Honor Award in 2013.

Jack also worked on The Lawrenceville School Kirby Math and Science Center addition, and the Iona College Residence Hall — described as a new “gateway” to Iona College, marking a prominent and defining entry point to the campus.

Recently, Jack has been working on multiple high-end, modern residential projects that emphasize natural light, clean lines, and thoughtful spatial design.
