Studio Hillier was the design architect for Steeple View, a mixed-use development in historic downtown Newtown, PA; at 48,000 square-feet, it was the largest infill project in the Borough in more than a decade and won the Award for Design Excellence, Large Project category, given by the Bucks County chapter of the AIA.
Balancing History and Modernity
The building’s massing and use of brick were strategically chosen to both provide continuity with the historic streetscape and to tie into the updated modern aesthetic introduced in town in recent years.
Luxury Shopping and Living
On the ground floor are two retail spaces and an elegant condominium lobby which leads to ten luxury condominiums on the second and third floors above. The condos range from 2,200 to 3,600 square-feet and feature radiant floor heating, fireplaces, interior courtyards and balconies. Expansive windows bring in natural light and contribute to an open and airy atmosphere.
